Cool, could you or someone else (maybe prokoudine :) convert this
current version to the wiki page so that others can help in writing this
spec...really, it would be great to leverage the power of the community
to get this done.

I think the best way to get people on board is to write the spec on our
wiki and make a general call for help from the community so that others
can make suggestions and directly edit...
