I'm going on with my SwatchBooker project and I'm now investigating
color management for color swatches.
COLOR MODELS: Which color models make sense in a color swatch?
The current create draft includes RGB, CMYK, Lab, HSV, HLS, Luv, XYZ,
Yxy, Gray, YCbCr. What about CMY, YIQ, Hexachrome (used by Corel)?
What about duotones and other hifi inks? What about named colors
accompanied by a nmcl profile?
COLOR PROFILES: Which color profiles make sense in a color swatch?
Should it be limited to mntr, prtr and scnr(nkpf)? spac and abst are
used for computation and conversions. They aren't real color spaces. Is
this correct?
Which color profile for which model?
RGB, HSV, HLS, CMY, YCbCr/YPbPr/YCC, YIQ/YUV/YDbDr => RGB
CMYK => CMYK
Gray => GRAY or CMYK (or RGB ?)
Lab, Luv, XYZ, Yxy => Do they need color profiles or just parameters
(illuminant, rendering intent, ...) ?
