Each site, each year will have its particular reasons for choosing some
dates. The reason Louis has set up LGM in Montreal is to intentionally
be outside the academic year for the availability of housing. Yet it
doesn't seem that this contributes to more student involvement or
attendance, perhaps the opposite.
I am not sure what is the target:
- university students from the organizing city: then during the breaks
they go home, are not available for such events (seen an universitary
city during the summer break, it looks like a ghost town)
- libre graphics contributors who are students and can't participate
being busy with school (is not like us other are not busy with work). if
that's the case, we can hear from them now.
