Dear Mr. Rathod, I'm as baffled as I could be :-) Attached is a "video reply" which shows I really have a problem :-) As I'm quite new to OpenERP, any hints as to where and what to look for would be greatly appreciated.
Some random facts which I thought might be helpful: The client is 6.0.3 an official gtk client from the deb package. Also the official windows (6.0.3) client behaves in the same way. Database has en_US.UTF-8 locale so I believe that should be ok as well. Only official translations are installed on the server apart from changing few incorrectly translated words. I've customized "res.partner" with some additional (char value only) fields as well as related views. Otherwise it's a clean install. I tried to strace the client and see the communication between the server & client. There seems to be (among pickled RPC requests) 'ilike' operator visible selecting comments %test% however there's nothing like that in the strace when searching with czech language interface, I suspect that there's something wrong with my client because the query seems to be wrong even when leaving for the server. I'll try trunk client tomorrow and will get back to you again with the result. That's: Debian Squeeze (stable) system with official openerp deb package: openerp-server-6.0.3-0_all.deb I was able to reproduce the bug as follows: I opened "Customers" tab, add a filter field "Notes" contains "test". When I hit search, cca 6 rows were returned, which is OK. Then I switched language (User/Preferences, preferences tab) to "Czech" (official translation). Again I opened "Customers" tab (Zákazníci in czech), add filter field "Notes" (Poznámky in czech) and hit search, all rows in the db are returned. I will gladly provide any additional information, ask please.
