Xavier, I agree that the search should be made in the translated names, not the database fields, so I propose you target this but to this misbehavior. Ferdinand, I agree with you, but not copying the translation is not an option because the field may be "require"'d. So, your suggestion eventually boils down to Bug #400256, doesn't it?
