Guys, I believe the problem was not understood. To reproduce it we could use other modules that uses date fields to register a information, but for the sake of simplicity lets use the human resources:
1) go to HR -> Employees 2) edit any of the employees in the system 3) change his date of birth to any date (ex: 05/15/1980) 4) Save the changes 5) immediatelly after the save the date will change to 05/14/1980 Attached is the example of the exact example described here after saving the date of birth 05/15/1980 Thanks, Alessandro. ** Attachment added: "Problem with dates in the employee date of birth." https://bugs.launchpad.net/openobject-addons/+bug/912793/+attachment/2680914/+files/Captura%20de%20Tela%202012-01-18%20%C3%A0s%2012.54.56.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of OpenERP Framework Experts, which is subscribed to OpenERP Addons. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/912793 Title: Wrong dates in periods - Financial Accounting Status in OpenERP Addons (modules): Confirmed Bug description: Dear support, I believe this is a important bug to be solved before launching the release 6.1. Some function that saves the date values is decreasing in one day each date passed from the screen. In other words, if the date field typed in the screen is 12/31/2011 it will automatically be saved as 12/30/2011. The problem was identified during the financial configuration. In this case you get wrong "start of period" and "end of period" dates generated if you use the ACCOUNTING -> CONFIGURATION -> FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING -> NEW COMPANY FINANCIAL SETTINGS 1) The suggested dates to create a fiscal year are 31/12/2011 to 30/12/2012 and you cant change it (altough you can change the web client ignores it). The correct would be 01/01/2012 to 31/12/2012 for the year 2012. 2) The periods are created with an error difference of 1 or 2 days to the correct dates. Example: look that the period 05/2012. It beggins on 30/04/2012 and ends on 30/05/2012. It should start on 01/05/2012 and ends on 31/05/2012. 3) The problem also occurs trying to manually generate the periods/fiscal year. 4) In the HR module, the birthday date of the employees are also subjected to this bug. The workaround I found is to sum 1 day in each date field on screen. A screenshot of the problem is attached. I'm using the latest trunk version with the brazililan localization and web cliente. OS: ubuntu 11.10 with Postgreesql 9.1 Thanks, Alessandro.
