Amit I think you are missing my point! :-) Yes I agree that the 6.0 client won't work properly with the 6.1 server, but it does work "enough" to demonstrate that this particular problem appears to be a server-side problem.
To explain again: Using the 6.0 client, I can actually get into the Sales Leads screen on the 6.1 server, but not the Sales Opportunities. Hence the 6.0 and 6.1 clients are doing the same thing in this respect. BUT, Sales Opportunities works correctly from 6.0 client to 6.0 server. Hence the implication is that the problem is not peculiar to the 6.1 client, but rather to the 6.1 server. When you tested this out, did you use the all-in-one installer running on Windows 7? (x64). i.e. so that both client and server are running on same machine on Windows.
