Its the paper I've written for MW2002 which investigates how to merge MPEG-7 and CIDOC CRM ontologies to describe multimedia in museums. http://archive.dstc.edu.au/RDU/staff/jane-hunter/MW2002/paper.html Basically I propose using the CIDOC CRM as the underlying ontology and extending it to provide additional multimedia/MPEG-7-specific classes and properties. Section 5 is probably the most interesting to your group.
