Dear All, Regular busses from Heraklion to Rethymnon leave about every hour from the central bus station between the ferry boat harbour and the Venetian harbour, about 4 km from the airport close to the city centre.
The last bus is 20:30 every day. Else you must take a taxi. It should cost 45 Euro. It is about 80 km. You could also fly to Chania. Chania - Rethymnon is about 60 km, but there are more flights to Heraklion. The airport is far bigger.
