Dear All,

Here two proposals to change CRM Core:

A)

Patrick Sinclair ([email protected])proposes to connect participants and
types in the following way:

<Participant>
    <Type name_space="http://www.getty.edu/research/conducting_research/
vocabularies/aat/">politicians</Type>
    <Identifier name_space="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/";>Churchill</
Identifier>
</Participant>
<Participant>
    <Type name_space="http://www.getty.edu/research/conducting_research/
vocabularies/aat/">politicians</Type>
    <Identifier name_space="http://en.wikipedia.org/
wiki/">Franklin_Delano_Roosevelt</Identifier>
</Participant>
<Participant>
    <Type name_space="http://www.getty.edu/research/conducting_research/
vocabularies/aat/">politicians</Type>
    <Identifier name_space="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/";>Stalin</ Identifier>
</Participant>

As a consequence,

the nesting level of CRM Core would become deeper , the creation of a
network easier. In case only participant ids or only participant types
are used, the encoding would become more heavy.

B)
The content model of Relation_Type was wrong. It should be a selection of fixed
keywords:
<!ELEMENT Relation_Type (has_part | part_of | refers_to | referred_to_by |
shows_features_of)+>

Depending on the Category, each one maps to a specific CRM property.

Please comment.

Martin
