I followed all the passages for the compilation exactly howto describe the book, with exception that I am using heads 2,6,11 of the kernel instead of the indicated ones in the book. But it sends the following error to me:

In file included from ../nptl/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/libc-lowlevellock.c:21: ../nptl/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/lowlevellock.c:29: error: conflicting types for '__lll_lock_wait' ../nptl/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/i386/lowlevellock.h:227: error: previous declaration of '__lll_lock_wait' was here

Why would you want to use *older* headers ? Also, your phrasing suggests you might be using raw kernel headers. I think this is a case where my best advice to you will be 'FBBG' (Follow Book, Book Good).

I changed to version 2.6.12.0 and continues giving back the same error. I am using chrooted system that uses uclibc-0.97.
Excuse my English I am using a translator.
