Based on feedback from the Planning Council, I will do a "rebuild" of the
aggregation repository, once the fixed version of p2 is available and
verified.

I thought I'd be explicit that my plan is to do the sort of rebuild where
the input from all other projects is simply taken to be what already
exists in 'maintenance' repo, ...

So, if anyone was thinking of "sneaking in" some other change, that won't
really work, and you'll have to explicitly state you want to be included
to get a fix for a bad bug (and get Planning Council approval, etc.).

I would expect the new maintenance repo to be available some time over the
weekend, but so far don't have an detailed plan.

Thanks,

Hi,

This is a heads up that a pretty bad bug has been discovered in p2 which
can leave an installation in a non startable state
(https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=428575).

This does not happen on every install. It only occurs when the import
wizard triggers the remediation, but it is bad enough that I have been
discussing with the RT PMC the possibility of spinning a new build.

We will keep you posted ASAP, on what we decide to do.

Regards,

Pascal
