From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David M Williams Sent: Tuesday, September 23, 2014 12:01 PM To: Cross project issues Subject: Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Orbit built for Luna SR1 If I understand you correctly, it'd be a great usability improvement to the page, and make a fine enhancement request, and perhaps someone would implement it someday, or provide a contribution. But, for the most part, they can be inferred by their dates, and the <https://wiki.eclipse.org/Simultaneous_Release> dates of the releases and services releases. I say "for the most part", since occasionally we have had "off cycle" R-builds, at the request of a project that was doing an off-cycle release, but I don't think we have add too many of those, surprisingly. I put together the following table, based on my glancing at the two sets of dates. R20140525021250 Luna, Luna SR1 R20140114142710 Kepler SR2 R20130827064939 Kepler SR1 R20130517111416 Kepler R20130118183705 Juno SR2 R20120526062928 Juno, Juno SR1 I will mention another "deviation", though, and that is the "R-builds", in the big picture of things, have more to do with retention, than a particular release. For example, I've known some, say, doing "long term support of Juno" that used something from a "Kepler" R-build, to achieve what they needed to. Put another way, while we all want to be "current" and in sync for the "current release", that's pretty easy, since it is always the most recent R-build (or, most recent S-build, for milestones). Hope that helps, and would encourage suggestions/requests to be added to bugzilla. Would it be possible to list the simrel release name in the table of Orbit downloads? <http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/> http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/ Thanks, - Konstantin From: [email protected] [ <mailto:[email protected]> mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of David M Williams Sent: Monday, September 22, 2014 3:17 PM To: Cross project issues Subject: Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Orbit built for Luna SR1 No, that's for Mars M2. There is not a lot of difference, but the latest R-build is the correct one for Luna SR1: R20140525021250 <http://download.eclipse.org/tools/orbit/downloads/drops/R20140525021250/> .
