Just to clarify this part - the proper word would probably be more like "organizational". I.e. For me this fix should just been released as as a plugin update and the features that was okey with *bugfixes* like this would In their feature version ranges be open/broad. We could then have Identified them and provided an warning notice to them. Those who want to have low risk would use more limiting version ranges.
