My suggestion was to get this fixed in Hudson/Sonar plugin. In the meantime, Mikael Barbero suggested that you don't need to use the Sonar plugin to run an analysis. According to http://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SCAN/Analyzing+with+SonarQube+Scanner+for+Maven you can do it from Maven directly. The only thing that needs to be changed to make this work is the .m2/settings.xml file.
