Folks,
After some investigation, it was determined that there are some
pieces of the Web Tools Platform (WTP) from Neon.1 that are being put into
the Oxygen EPPs. This appears to come from BIRT, which contributes more
than just BIRT at its contribution location of
http://download.eclipse.org/birt/update-site/oxygen-interim/ . I opened
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=517459 to address this issue
(but wanted to post it here so that other teams that might be affected by
this are aware). Note that this only effects the EPPs themselves- anyone
installing from Oomph or the Simultaneous Release Repository itself will
get the correct WTP bits. Also, it is not a full replacement of WTP, so
most of the newer plugins are present in the EPPs (which made figuring this
issue out rather interesting.)
