Yes, the News Feed plug-in was developed (by me, when I was still
working for Codetrails) as part of the Code Recommenders project. It is,
however, completely independent and doesn't even share a "commons"
bundle with the rest of Code Recommenders.

It should thus be pretty easy to resurrect, perhaps as part of the E4
incubator. (FYI, the plug-in tries to use E4 APIs as much as possible,
but as it was my first foray into E4 territory, I am sure you will find
room for improvement. ;-)

So, Lars, feel free to take over if you have time and interest; the
codebase of the plug-in is not that big.
