Hi Wim, I can certainly help, especially when it comes to getting Mylyn back to SimRel + EPP.
FWIW the last time I tried to look at this the biggest issue that makes it incompatible is relatively small issues related to OSGi wiring around jaxb, but there has been no one to merge in and rebuild even these simple changes. So I think it is great that you can revive this.
