Yes,
we discussed this several times, the exclusive IP stacks have been
integrated before the complete Crossbow implementation because we and
others pressed Sun for a solution.

The current implementation allows you to have a private IP stack in a
Zone which is tied to a certain VLAN, but you can not use the same VLAN
on the Same NIC elsewhere on the same Machine.

Or with separate physical NICs.
