I did some test just now and didn't find any problem. However, the test system
I have is b76 and with only e1000g NIC-s.

Could you please give me some more informations? like how did you setup the
network in global zone and the exclusive-IP zone?

Actually I am not sure I understand this sentence:
For the primary nic there is no option to set its ip and hostname.
