There is no support for direct IO in the current xVM implementation. The in-development version of direct IO will not support domain migration in the first version made available - any domain with direct access to a device will not be able to migrate. A second phase will add support for managing the removal of direct IO devices before a domain is migrated (after which direct IO devices can be added back to the domain). dme. -- David Edmondson, Sun Microsystems, http://dme.org
