Metalforge was updated to cvs of late. And that error happened again. Was this a recent fix?
Please do not post to the mailing lists in html format. Many list subscribers have filters in place to reject such messages.
You should get the crossfire-cvs list. The update happened in CVS on Fri Aug 12 23:16:32 UTC 2005. I don't think MF has updated since then =P
