Subject: [Crosswalk-dev] Say hello to v8-crosswalk

Hello everyone,

v8-crosswalk is the newest fork in our $FORK-crosswalk family. As the name
implies, this is our V8 fork that's going to live alongside chromium-crosswalk
and blink-crosswalk.

The main purpose of having v8-crosswalk around is to have our SIMD.js stuff
enabled when building Crosswalk on x86. See [1] for more information about
SIMD.js.

What does this mean for you as a developer? Hopefully nothing: we
(Crosswalk) haven't worked on V8 directly ourselves, so for most people it
should be just another dependency that happened to have its source repository
URL changed.

The same release process used with blink-crosswalk and chromium-crosswalk also
applies to v8-crosswalk: same branch names, same branches in sync with the
Chromium releases tracked by Crosswalk, same people able to merge pull requests
(at the moment, Alexis and I). Alexis and I are by no means V8 experts, though,
so LGTMs to your occasional V8 patches will need to be LGTM'ed by the people
who know what they're doing, like Haitao Feng (@fenghaitao on GitHub).

Happy hacking.
