Good morning!

Thank you so much for your response. This saves me a huge amount of time of
trying to make it work!

I wasn't able to get to the binary, got a 404... Could you please provide
another link?

Hi Anna,

Sorry for late reply.

Crosswalk-driver has the same functions of Chromedriver. So, we should use it
to replace Chromedriver.

But, unfortunately, Crosswalk-driver hasn’t Windows version for now. Actually,
we’re working on integrating it with Appium recently. Maybe, within one month
we’ll provide a version working well.

Currently, Crosswalk-driver is implemented using C++. It’s an independent
program but can be built only within Crosswalk build system(as we can build
Chromedirver only in Chrome repo). We has provided binary
here<https://github.com/crosswalk-project/crosswalk-web-driver/blob/master/bin/xwalkdriver.>
. And you can also build by yourself.

There<https://crosswalk-project.org/#wiki/Crosswalk-WebDriver> are the details
of Crosswalk-driver. We’ll inform you when Crosswalk-driver is integrating with
Appium well. Any problem just let me know. Thank you very much.

Subject: [Crosswalk-dev] Using crosswalk driver

Hi there,

I just found out there is a specific crosswalk web driver implementation; we
recently started using cross walk with our mobile projects. Before crosswalk
became part of our projec, I was using an Appium framework to run automated
tests. I am not sure if crosswalk driver is supposed to replace appium driver,
or I should replace chromedriver here

C:\Users\Anna\AppData\Roaming\npm\node_modules\appium\build\chromedriver\windows

with crosswalk web driver. Also not sure what you guys mean by "Build
XwalkDriver by building the 'xwalkdriver' target and get an executable binary
in the build folder named 'xwalkdriver'". Does it mean the binary xwalkdriver
in bin isn't ready to go yet? Does it need to be an executable? And also, my
tests are written in Java, how do I use that binary (or executable) with a Java
project? And again, do I need to abandon Appium driver completely in favor of
Xwalk driver? It would be great to see a Java code sample too.

Would really appreciate some help on this.
