Hello all crosswalk devs,

crosswalk is by far one of the best things hybrid development has seen since
beginning, but right now we are facing a very critical issue.
We are working on an e-learning product witch hardly relies on videos - (no
spam: its called flowkey and helps people around the world to learn playing
piano).
It is very essential to our android port to be able to slow down videos, but
the current release M48 does not support this feature.
However its a very important one and critical for our work. The feature is
added via flag in version M49 for android and it works great.

On the chromium issue tracker there is the suggestion to use: chromium
49.0.2623.7 or higher
There should not be notable issues with this version. See the following tracker:

https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=263654&q=playbackrate&colspec=ID%20Pri%20M%20Stars%20ReleaseBlock%20Cr%20Status%20Owner%20Summary%20OS%20Modified

Me and my team are forced to seek a solution before this hits stable release as
it will do so in April or May (according to issue tracker) and people are
waiting to get help on android devices :)
I have already forked and rebased the corresponding V8 version: 4.9.385.5
(https://github.com/nerdmed/v8-crosswalk/tree/crosswalk-18/49.0.2623.7
<https://github.com/nerdmed/v8-crosswalk/tree/crosswalk-18/49.0.2623.7>) and i
would like to push a chromium branch to the upcoming M49 release.
Is there someone else here interested in doing that or in any other way willing
to support us with this?

Hope to hear from you guys!

All the best
Ahmed Hassan
