Martin, It seems your issue is not quite the same with Muly’s from your description, could you report an issue in jira(https://crosswalk-project.org/jira) and provide more information(error log or sample code etc.)? That will be helpful to identify your issue, thanks a lot.

Even though setAllowUniversalAccessFromFileURLs and setAllowFileAccess are true we can't access file:///android_asset<file:///\\android_asset> URLs (and those should actually be treated differently from regular file:///<file:///\\> URLs and be allowed always anyhow AFAIK?)
