John is correct, please put --js-flags="--trace-gc" into "xwalk-command-line" 
file.

Jonny,

Did you use the timeline tool of Chrome Dev Tools to profile the memory usage 
of your app [1]. Does your app allocate/release too frequently? Or you may use 
CPU profiler to profile your app, the deoptimized code may allocate where it 
may trigger unexpected GC.
