Hi, Thank you for trying Crosswalk!
Indeed the error string is a part of Crosswalk in https://github.com/crosswalk-project/crosswalk/blob/master/runtime/android/core_internal/strings/android_xwalk_strings.grd , but this issue cannot reproducible when upgrading upstream Cordova app using guide [1] step by step with beta ARM builds below on ARM device and the user agents show correctly in chrome://inspect developer tool. https://download.01.org/crosswalk/releases/crosswalk/android/beta/10.39.235.15/arm/crosswalk-cordova-10.39.235.15-arm.zip "Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.3; HM 1S Build/JLS36C) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/39.0.2171.71 Mobile Crosswalk/10.39.235.15 Mobile Safari/537.36" https://download.01.org/crosswalk/releases/crosswalk/android/beta/11.40.277.1/arm/crosswalk-cordova-11.40.277.1-arm.zip "Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 4.3; HM 1S Build/JLS36C) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/40.0.2214.28 Mobile Crosswalk/11.40.277.1 Mobile Safari/537.36" When install app created by x86 binaries e.g. https://download.01.org/crosswalk/releases/crosswalk/android/beta/11.40.277.1/x86/crosswalk-cordova-11.40.277.1-x86.zip on ARM device, there will be issues. In your logs from logcat, is there any error like “java.lang.RuntimeException: Use SharedXWalkView if you want to support shared mode”? Or are there any ‘xwalk’ relevant information? BTW, when you migrate upstream Cordova apps to Crosswalk based Cordova 11.40.*.*, please make sure to check: [project]/platforms/android/project.properties -> target=android-21 [The android-19 will not work anymore] [project]/platforms/android/AndroidManifest.xml -> targetSdkVersion=”21” [The 19 will not work anymore] BR Belem From: Crosswalk-help [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, January 06, 2015 4:28 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Crosswalk-help] Crosswalk Beta, ARM error Hi, I have a project made with Ionic + Cordova, I migrated it to Crosswalk stable and it works fine. But I would like to upgrade to Crosswalk beta, to try Chromium 39 Web View. When I upgrade it, compile and run my application, I get the following error: "Unfortunately this application was not created for ARM based devices, please take a moment to notify the developer about it." I upgrade the project using this guide [1]. I have, of course, downloaded the ARM version. I've tried both Crosswalk beta and Crosswalk canary with the same result. I've taken a look to logcat, and I don't see any error or any information related to this error. Is this some kind of bug?
