Could you please try to configure <access> element within the app’s config.xml file to enable network access to specific domains. More information you can get from http://cordova.apache.org/docs/en/5.0.0/guide_appdev_whitelist_index.md.html#Whitelist%20Guide.

From reading around it seems like this might be solved by specifying "xwalk_hosts" to whitelist, but I'm having trouble figuring out where to do that for a cordova project (and I'm not even sure that solves the issue). I tried adding a manifest.json (with xwalk_hosts specified) to my cordova project root and in /www/ and rebuilding but I'm still seeing the same behavior from XHR My Cordova version is 5.1.1 I installed crosswalk via: cordova plugin add cordova-plugin-crosswalk-webview The only plugin I have installed other than xwalk is cordova-plugin-whitelist
