All,

We had a very successful set of design discussions last week where we reviewed
& closed the design topics in CB2 Trello
(https://trello.com/board/crowbar-2-0-current-sprint/50809fb54fa7ad9c1a000f4d).

We are still composing notes from those meetings
(http://crowbar.sync.in/crowbar2-faq) but they primarily followed the earlier
discussions of having Deployments elevated to a primary model, Node-Role
carrying state for the system, starting w/ the Script jig and using the
"annealing" pattern for orchestration. Also, the backlog of work in Trello
still appears to be accurate based on these discussions.

Since those meetings, I have begun the effort of refactoring the CB2 core to
match the design. My #1 goal is to get back to a state where we are 100%
passing on the Unit, RSpec and BDD tests. Also, the web server runs in the dev
environment. I have achieved that goal over the weekend (obviously, that means
a lot of tests are no longer being run) to re-establish a baseline for pull
requests.

At this point, I am NOT trying to recreate CB1 screens (dashboard, bulk edit,
proposals, etc). Some are simply not ready, while others are no longer
relevant.

This does NOT mean that the ISO will build nor node discovery works - those are
dependent on additional work. That work is already in the CB2 backlog on
Trello and will be worked in priority there.

We will continue to send out updates as work progresses. There will be
milestones shortly where broader participation is strongly encouraged.

Thanks,

Rob
