Hello list I thought I should post a quick update as to what I have been working on over the last week or so. Here goes...
I have been identifying and rebuilding packages needed to rectify the issue highlighted on the forums: http://tinyurl.com/b83lve - this involved working on/testing numerous packages, so I set-up a testing repository so as not to disturb people's current installations. The repository contains all the new/updated packages and has been set-up for both i386 and amd64 architectures, so it should now be possible to build the elusive 64bit CrunchBang :) All being well, I will be attempting this myself sometime over the next couple of days -- I only have one dual core system and it is the system I perform the majority of my work on, so it may take me some time to fully back-up my project files before I can attempt a build. Anyhow, if anyone else would like to attempt a test build, please use the following build script from a minimal "CLI" installation of Ubuntu: http://crunchbanglinux.org/build-scripts/testing/crunchbang-installer-8.10.03.sh **NOTE** The above script uses the new "testing" repository and should not in anyway be considered a final build -- packages are very likely to change over the coming days/weeks as new features for 8.10.03 are worked on. -- Philip _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~crunchbangers Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~crunchbangers More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
