Truth is, I actually like the RSX. I personally think it looks better than 
the prior generation GSR's, and I like the fact that it is more luxurious 
than the prior generations. Honda knew there is an aging market place and 
they are targeting single males in the low to mid 30's age and who has the 
money to spend on a car in this price range, and the typical group in this 
target market would like a bit more luxury in their ride. I think the RSX 
will do quite well in sales. I suppose Honda feels they can sell more RSX's 
with the product design that they have now than if their were to spend more 
money on performance and less luxury. I think this car is probably a good 
balance between the two. It is not going to please everybody, but It will 
be please a lot of people. Thing is I  do see a lot of RSX's on the road, 
inspite of the fact that it may not have the performance feel that the 
prior generation GSR's have. Just my humble thoughts.

Ps. I did see an RSX the other day that had been lowered and it looked wicked!
