I'd also like to add check all hoses and definately change the coolant,
hopefully corrosion hasn't set in. It would also be recommended to change
the thermostat and water pump especially if you replace the timing belt,
because it sat for so long in one position both may not want to operate
properly or be seized up, beter to be safe than sorry. Also I would be
warry of all the seals and gaskets on the motor, When an engine runs it
splashes oils on gaskets and such which help them from drying out and or
shrinking. For instance the main seals...Good Luck

--Linda, if your rex has been sitting for 6 years, I would highly reccomend
changing all your fluids--especially the oil, and possibly the coolant--all
relatively simple jobs that will save you grief. You might also want to pull

the uppre timingbelt inspection cover, and put a 17mm socket on the crank
pulley and look for dry-rot on the timing belt-save risking the motors
integrity. I would also bleed the brakes/inspect the lines because brake
fluid is known to absorb moisture, and could possibly rust the brake lines.

Hope this helps.
