Okay guys,
Ever since I got the motor swapped in what was my DX (now has the Erik Coxe specially built-up D16Z6), I'm running into a cosmetic problem. Due to the 2" exhaust all the way back with no cat, there's a peculiar build-up of dust along the rear bumper which I assume is unburned fuel. The dust doesn't bother me it's what looks like a corrosive brown coloration on the bumper around where the tailpipe is. Is there any good way to protect the bumper before the fumes eat into the paint permanently? BTW, I don't feel bad since a buddy of mine who has a Viper says it does this bone stock! He carries a towel to clean up the bumper after each trip... George '89 DX-Hybrid-D16Z6, 123k miles "Seats, Suspension, Engine, MSD, next=dyno"
