upgrading the TC its a pretty popular mod on the Subaru WRX - you could look
on the impreza club forums http://forums.i-club.com/forums/ or check out
http://www.temporalrifts.com/wrx/promods.htm .. i believe the guys at level
ten (http://levelten.com/) use converters from http://protorque.com/ .. on a
recent show on speed
channel(http://www.hirevtuners.com/site/showseg.php?SegID=42) they had a
person from http://www.tciauto.com/ talking about automatics and torque
converters that work better with upgraded cams etc .. maybe some of this
info will help. i have an automatic crx with a zc swap and was considering
doing this but never really found any info about how great the gains are - i
guess on the wrx the gains are more noticeable with the turbo ..

also to Fidel - i found shops that do AT to MT conversions for around $900
in the USA .. if you wanted to do it yourself i think you would need - the
entire pedal mechanism, the entire transmission assembly, the ecu and maybe
some rewiring, the entire shifter mechanism, im sure theres some more you
would need .. there were some web sites i had found but my links are on an
old pc..

good luck
