Check out the year that code was entered into law.  If it's before 1991, 
your car should be exempt from that law.  I know when it comes to 
insurance, if it doesn't have an airbag in the first place (like our 
CRXs), they don't care what kinda wheel is in it.  But if it does come 
with an airbag and you remove it, the insurance company will not pay a 
dime in medical coverage.
