If you're not looking for performance, the largest that I've seen on a Second Gen CRX has been an 18 x 7.5 inch wheel with 215/35-18 tires. IMHO, it looked really silly. 16 inch (and 17 inch) wheels look right at home on a CRX.

I'm running 16 x 7 inch wheels (Montegi's) with 205/40-16 tires. I chose the Montegi's not so much for looks but because of their weight (the weigh about 19 lbs. each). The price was also very reasonable (around $125 USD each...). The 16s do take a bit to spin them up but it's not too horribly bad (if I had a B18 or something under the hood, it probably wouldn't be so bad...). I can get up to speed fairly quickly. I also make no secret in that I also selected these rims for looks which is why I still keep (and use) my 14 inch PanaSport's and my previous Del Sol rims (which are also 14 inch). If I plan to do any OpenTrack where I feel that I would benefit from a 15 inch wheel, I borrow my brother's 15 inch PanaSport wheel.

So... my 16 inch wheels that I currently have still provides performance as well as good looks. I don't and have not AutoX'ed or ran my CRX at an OpenTrack session in over 2 years and I don't really foresee myself doing so again anytime soon. So basically my CRX is nothing more than a "cruiser" which is just fine with me. B^)
