CRX: b16a swap question

when putting a b16a into a 88 crx si do i use the stock wiring harness from the d16a6 on the b16a with pr3 ecu while adding the 4 wires for vtec???   seems to me that if i used the harness from the b16a with the b16a engine and pr3 ecu i wouldnt have to add anything.  will that harness not work in a crx for some reason?   thanks ronnie 88 si
