I have one but can't tell you too much about it except that it isn't the best 4WD system out there.  It is also very heavy.  The system uses a mechanical viscous coupling filled with I believe silicone fluid, when the system senses so much slip between the front and rear wheels it locks up.  However, this does not prevent only one wheel in the front or back from spinning and the other one will stay still (no LSD).
It's OK for what it is and will really give you quite a bit of traction in a lot of situations over a normal 2WD system.  I have climbed some pretty steep hills with my wagon and drove over logs.

I know some of you own (or have owned) a Civic AWD wagon.  Can anyone assist this person?

Thanks..

Would you happen to know where I could get some
pictures of a civic awd powertrain? Or information like
torque spilt etc? A friend of mine wants to do a awd
Mini Cooper and he wants more info on the civic's
system.
