Wow! amazing. I have never hear of any body
getting alternator whine. I have heard of the stuff coming through RCA
cables but not through a ground loop.
Here is my solution. Hook the CD player up
right. You can go to Best Buy, Circuit City or any local radio shop and
pick up a wiring harness. You will solder the wires coming from the CD
head unit to the wiring harness. Then the harness just plugs into the
harness in the car. This makes things 10 times easier. The wires are
marked, the solding takes about 15 mins and your system will sound 10 time
better.
How do I know this. I just installed and
Alpine DVA-5205 and a CVA-1005...both from Alpine (www.alpine1.com). I used the wiring
harness, Shielded RCAs for both the audio, video, and PS2/XBox
jacks.
