Subject: Feb 8th Julian Meet & Drive is being postponed!!!!

After monitoring the weather last night and again this morning, the best
and safe thing to do is to move the meet and drive to a later date.
The weather forecasts rain to enter San Diego Friday night and showers off
and on throughout the county all day. There's even a chance of
thunderstorms in the mountains. Snow and ice is also forecasted to be in
the 4000 feet range which makes it quite possible for wet and icy
conditions up near Julian.
The following weekend, Feb 15th, does not work either. There is storm
forecasted to hit San Diego late Monday night but will most likely hit on
Tuesday and last for at least three or four days. It's unsure if it will
hang around on Saturday the 15th. So rather than risk it, I suggest that
we move the meet and drive to February 22nd (Saturday).
For those of you that have already sent me your RSVP, I'll be sending you
another email to confirm that you can still make it.
Sorry about this but from the many emails that I got, everyone seemed to
be in agreement that if there is a possibility of rain, snow or ice, that
it would be best to postpone.
Sorry but on the other hand, this may work out for the best since I got a
lot people who emailed me wanting to go but was unable to on the 8th. And
I know some of you were not sure because you were working on your cars and
stuff. Well, you have an additional two weeks or so to get it
together! :^)

shortly to reflect this decision.
