A common problem I've found is that the clutch disc material, as it wears
off of the friction surface, it tends to stick to the grease that is on
the input shaft of the transmission, where the release bearing slides.
Usually when you do a clutch job, you are supposed to completely clean the
input shaft splines and re-grease everything with moly grease.  A lot of
people never even think about doing that.

I did it on my green CRX years ago when I had the tranny out, and it's 
still extremely easy to push.  My red CRX, on the other hand, gave me a
workout BEFORE my leg got broken...  I still don't even want to try
driving that car yet (it's been 6 months since I broke my leg, and almost
a year since I've driven the car).
