Just curious if clutch chatter is a common problem with the 1g CRX. I
recently acquired a very clean, one-owner '87 Si. It's in great shape,
but a few things feel a little loose. The clutch chatter is, at least
relative to other vehicles I've driven, excessive. I typically have to
keep the engine near 2000 rpm while slipping the clutch to prevent it
from juddering and rattling the car to pieces. Is this common? I know
the primary causes of clutch chatter, but thought I'd inquire before
spending too much effort on exploratory surgery. FWIW, the clutch has
~60k miles on it. Perhaps just time for a new disc?
