The first section is a simple message printed out to the messages log. It is not printed to the console, as to not upset those who want quiet boots. The second change has two sections, the bug that I can't believe my wrong thread handle setting never manifested during hundred times I must have rebooted machines, and when it did, only showed up on x86 debug kernels.
