Which "oboard" Crypto engine are you asking about ?
There are various bits of hardware:
CA-500 / CA-1000 / CA-4000 all support DES but not AES.
CA-6000 Supports AES and DES in various modes as well as other algorithms.
UltraSPARC T1 processor only supports RSA/DSA/DH since there isn't any
hardware crypto just support routines for big number arithmetic in
modular exponentiation.
UltraSPARC T2 processor supports AES and DES as well as RC4, RSA,
DSA,DH,Elliptic Curve,MD5,SHA1,SHA256.
