Just because Internet telephony isn't covered by CALEA does not mean
that it is safe from wiretapping.  It does mean that a court order is
needed for any kind of wiretapping, and that the FBI can't depend on
ISPs for technical assistance, and need to develop the necessary
technology themselves.

Of course, there's also the substantial risk of non-law-enforcement
entities tapping your Internet telephony.  Use strong crypto, but you
all knew that already.
