Please do let me know how to enter a 128 bit WEP key into the MacOS driver.
Or any key for that matter, since AFAICT the MacOS drivers don't let you
enter raw WEP keys at all, only a passphrase which then is hashed down to a
64 bit key using an Apple proprietary algorithm. In addition, I would love
to hear about a source for 128 bit AirPort cards, since the iBook and iMac
won't accept standard Lucent WaveLAN PCMCIA cards.
Yes---my comments were only useful you're planning on using the
Airport for talking to things that -aren't- Apples. If you're
actually planning on using it with other Apple devices, you're
stuck, as far as I know. And I certainly didn't mean to defuse
the thrust of the argument---go fill out the survey and let
Apple know you want better crypto!
