As Luis has pointed out, my test vectors don't
agree as stated with the normal RC4. This is
beacuse I forgot to tell you all one important
point.

In my code, I throw away 256 outputs from RC4
automatically as part of the keying process. This
is to avoid the correlation of the first output
byte(s) with key bytes, as observed first by
Kocher I think.

So, the test vectors below apply to bytes
256..299, and 1meg+256...

I apologise for this oversight, entirely my fault.

regards,
Greg.

See my other posting for the explanation of this.
I forgot that I throw away 256 outputs
(intentionally) during keying.

Brute force what. If you use a poorly designed compression routine
most bad keys can be tossed out right away. You may actually have to
look at output to see if it makes since. Even then you may not be
sure you may have several candidates.

>Let me review your argument. You say that a 1-1 codec will decompress

If you know what a message is. Then your correct as stated several
times. My compression gains you very little if you know what your
looking for.

But if the message I write always has "DEARY ABBY:" for all
my messages. Then a compressor targeted for that set of messages
would chop off the front part and then om decompression after
decryption it would add it back in. That way every decompressed
decrypted file for any key would have what your searching for.
I see you still bitching that it does compress as small as
non 1-1 compressors. I take it you haven't got off your fat
ass and checked how well matts 1-1 compressors work. I guess you
just all mouth and have not the foggest idea what has been
happening in compression.
