        I mentioned to Mike in a reply that I honestly have no clue where
my copy came from (timestamp is from 1996).  I found hundreds of 
public FTP sites with the manual available from 
<http://ftpsearch.ntnu.no/> using the keyword "basic_cryptanalysis".  
Having interested people download it this way is probably better, as they
can select a site close to them. 
        Also, a student found and pointed out that the LANAKI 
(Randy Nichols) "Classical Cryptography" lecture notes can be found at 
<http://www.fortunecity.com/skyscraper/coding/379/lesson1.htm>.  They 
tend to go more in-depth with digram/trigram analysis of monoalphabetic
ciphertexts and character occurance frequency than the Army FM does.
