This is a (late) invitation to attend PODC 2003, July 13-16, Boston, MA. PODC (Principles of Distributed Computing) is the leading conference on distributed computing and algorithms. This conference is a great opportunity for interaction and cooperation between security/crypto folks and the distributed computing community, and we hope many of you can join us. It should also be fun.
IMPORTANT DATES =============== Conference dates: 13-16 July 2003 Early registration deadline: 18 June 2003 Hotel reservation deadline: 12 June 2003
SECURITY TRACK: Lectures, Tutorials, and Invited Talks
==========================================
The security track will include (no separate registration/fee necessary):
-- 3 great keynote speakers: Silvio Micali, Ross Anderson and Butler Lampson
-- 8 regular talks (selected out of over 75 submissions to the security track)
-- 4 brief announcements
-- Two tutorials on July 13th: Incentives and Internet Computation by Joan Feigenbaum (Yale) and Scott Shenker (ICSI), and Content Protection Technologies by Jeff Lotspiech, Tushar Chandra, and Donald E. Leake, Jr. (IBM).
-- PODC this year will include a special `Fischer's Fest` event, in honor of At least one of the special lectures as part of this event is on `Fischer's Cryptographic Protocols`, by Rebecca Wright. Other talks in Fisher's Fest will be given by Leslie Lamport, Nancy Lynch and Albert Mayer (Leslie and Albert did not provide title yet so they may also discuss crypto/privacy issues...).
General PODC Information =================== See below `call for participation`.
I hope you will join us for a great conference in July!
